Tan and Green Napkin Ideas

Monday, April 4

Sometimes I like plain things. Other times I want to spice things up a bit. Here are a few easy ways to turn a plain napkin into something a bit more wonderful. It’s not only easy but very inexpensive. All it takes is a bit of  creativity.

One of my favorite things about these napkin holders is that the ribbon color can easily be changed to match any table setting you have.

I’m not a big “scrap booker” but I love going to the scrap book store because they have so many wonderful little trinkets. Like these metal tags which I found the other day (image b.).  They are perfect for dressing up a simple napkin.  All you have to do is tie them on a rolled napkin and you are good to go.  I printed names on plain paper and inserted into the tag to make them double as place holders.

The napkins in images a. c. and d.  use wooden flowers that came in a dried reed bouquet that I purchased a while ago at my local craft store. I love the dried reed and flower section and I love coming up with creative ways of using the flowers besides just putting them to a vase.

These last two options are just as easy as the first. Tie a  bit of raffia around a folded napkin and it’s done. Glue on a few dried flowers for a  little extra touch. Again, it’s so easy and with the multitudes of raffia colors you can buy you can match these napkins to any setting you have.
