It’s all in the details
The task for the day was to continue to fine tune my eye for detail. Down town St. Paul has some really amazing architectural details. But today I wasn’t looking for just any detail, I was looking for doors.
Taking good detail shots requires two things, a correctly set up camera and a trained eye. The topic of setting up your camera is easy to learn, a good eye for composition either comes naturally or takes time to cultivate. It isn’t so easily taught. The best way to get better at it is to practice, practice, practice.
Great picture don’t come without a few bad ones first. You learn as you go. And the only way to do that is to get out there and try.
Enjoy what you see?
